Quite the opposite in fact with pool season and a son who is on the summer swim team. There will be lots of times when we come home hungry from a long day outside and need nourishment now. So heres the first recipe I tried and let me tell you, it was a revelation. Ive never been a huge fan of Chinese take out, but one of the few dishes I do enjoy is Moo Shu Pork or Vegetable. Except, after eating a recipe of Moo Shu take out, I feel like my arteries need a long soak in the pool themselves. Not so with this recipe. Filled with lean pork tenderloin, a ton of fresh cabbage, carrots and green onions for garnish, then flavored with all natural hoisin sauce and just a small amount of dark sesame oil, this is a dinner you can feel good about feeding your hungry family. Both kids loved it. Its just BBQ really, sweet but with an Asian flair, wrapped up in flour tortillas. Pasta Arrabiata there. So simple you can take it out back and eat it on a warm summer night on the porch.
